Within this project I explored the subject of hidden political meanings within the fashion. The photoshoot I directed was focused on the new style in party wear often called ‘mad sporty style’ originated by CXEMA- the techno collective from Kyiv, that appeared in the consequence of socio-economical depression in the aftermath of Euromaidan events in Ukraine in 2015. CXEMA’s gatherings are for young Ukrainians a way to forget about the war and the poverty and a place, where they can unite and survive hard times. The raves last all night, even until afternoon, because: ‘Why would you go to sleep if there is nothing to wake up to?’
